Matches are played between six-player teams across a shortened sand pitch, with fielding restrictions unique to beach cricket.
Each side bats a maximum of 8 overs, keeping matches fast, high-scoring and spectator-friendly.
Divisions run separately: tape-ball for grassroots and junior levels, hard-ball for the National Championship.
A round-robin group stage feeds into a knockout quarter-final, semi-final and final on the closing day.
Teams enter through their affiliated state association. Individual players can also register interest and be considered for state trials.
